MEETING MINUTES
Commissioners Present: Chair Stephen Smith, Vivien Cook.
Commissioners Not Present: Steven LaBranche, Michael Harnett, Fred Rollinson.
Staff Present: Jeff Thibodeau.
Also Present: Richard Keller of Mass DEP, Tim Brady, abutters.
Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) review of Notice of Intent filed by the Beach Association for proposed installation of beach access stairway at property located at Eastham Avenue and Crest Avenue. A consultation session will be held to receive advice and comments from agencies, officials, and citizens regarding which environmental issues, if any, are significant for this project. Opinions as to the extent~and significance of possible environmental impact will be welcome.
Mass. Department of Environmental Protection conducted a site visit to review the project for the Notice of Intent filed by The Beach Association. The meeting attendees met at the project site to assess the existing conditions at the right of way and stairway area. The DEP representative asked questions of the applicant, abutters, and conservation agent. He explained the appeal review process and timetable for a response.
